This Gibson Les Paul Custom was made in the USA in 1969. It is an awesome playing and sounding guitar. It has typical '69 specs including a 1-piece body and a 3-piece neck with no volute. Although it is almost impossible to see without ultraviolet light, this guitar appears to have had a neck reset at some point, and there is touch-up around the heel and in the cutaway. We don't see any structural damage in that area, but the repair was completed some time ago and because the touch up work is so perfectly done, we cannot be sure what it is covering up. The neck itself it unbroken and there is no touch-up at all anywhere on the neck, just the seam where it meats the body, and then in the cutaway. There is also some touch up on the top in a line between the neck and bridge pickup cavities. Our best guess about that is that someone over-tightened a pickup screw causing a surface crack in the top. This touch can be seen in the pictures. Aside from the above, the guitar is in very nice cosmetic condition, with only light play wear. The parts are 100% original. It weighs 9 pounds 4 ounces. It has the original "fretless wonder" frets. It has been pro-setup in our store and plays great. It comes with a vintage Gibson case that is not original to the guitar.
