This Martin Select 0-18 12 fret guitar is truly a blast from the past - a guitar that's as much a story as it is an instrument. Picture this: a 12-fret beauty straight out of 1930, with a cozy 0 body size, and the lush and expressive warmth of Mahogany wrapping around its back and sides. Now, here's where the plot thickens: this guitar had a rough start, arriving at the factory with destroyed sides and a long list of other issues. But fear not, because what came next is pure magic.
The Martin team rolled up their sleeves and got to work, breathing new life into this vintage gem. They refreshed the fingerboard and swapped out the beat-up sides with premium Mahogany. The Adirondack Spruce top, bracing and Mahogany back are all original to the instrument from 1930. The entire instrument was re-finished with nitrocellulose that'll make you feel like you're truly holding a piece of music history. While retaining its original block and serial number (46272), every inch exudes the allure of a bygone era, complete with the original slotted headstock, with its Brazilian Rosewood headplate, the neck, and ebony truss rod intact.
Thanks to the Martin Guitar Factory Repair shop this 1930 guitar looks, feels, and plays like it just rolled out of the Martin North Street factory.
