Swisher Handmade 1950 T-Style Electric Guitar 2024 - Merlot Fabric Top

This is a right handed T-Style solid body electric guitar made from Cherry, with a deep wine colored paisley fabric top. The body is 1.75 inches thick and was hand shaped on a sander with a black binding. The body weighs in at 5.4 lbs and the total guitar weight is 8.2 lbs . It’s a string through body with a chrome Wilkinson compensated bridge. The hardware is also all chrome. The pickup configuration is standard t-style with single coils in both the neck and bridge positions. I wound these pickups myself and they measure out as follows; the neck pickup has .187” ALNICO 5 magnets and reads at 6.9k and the bridge pickup has .187” ALINCO 5 magnets and reads at 7.5k. This guitar has that classic T-style sound, the neck pickup sounds pretty clean by itself, and the bridge pickup delivers that t-style twang. The electronics are wired with a volume pot, tone pot and a three way selector switch. The neck is 22 frets and bolted on with recessed chrome ferrules for a sleek look. The neck is all maple with a 9.5” radius and custom slot rosewood position markers. The truss rod is a dual action spoke type and located at the heel end. My necks are all hand carved and the profile is considered a “C” shape. This one measures .850” (21.59mm) at the 1st fret and .880” (22.35mm) at the 12th fret, it’s quite comfortable. The frets are Medium/Jumbo Nickel-Silver .100" wide by .050" high. The tuners are chrome HipShot staggered inline type. The nut was hand shaped from bone.

My guitars are set up to play with great action. The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished. The string height at the 1st fret is .012” and at the 12th fret it’s .060”. You’ll notice how smooth they are right away.
