Original 1950's Kay Bass Viol
::: Model: K162 :::
::: Model: K162 :::
- This bass plays and sounds very nice, with warm rich full sound. The neck has relief due to the no truss rod design, though it still plays easily, with a soft feel, and is well intonated.The finish, although old, is not original to the guitar/refinished. The bridge assembly is modified from a 1960's Japanese 6 string electric guitar, and is not original. The tailpiece has an old/solid weld repair. The strap pegs are older replacements/not original. The tuners/lipstick pickup, the complete/untouched electronics assembly, nut, binding and striped surrounds are all original. This K162 and a P-Bass may be all you need. A wonderful sounding instrument!
