If you are tired of printing drilling templates and taping them on to enclosures, this might be for you.
I designed and 3D printed these templates for myself but realized they would be very useful for other folks who design and build guitar pedals. This is a template for a vertical (portrait) 1590B size pedal. It fits perfectly on a Tayda or Stompboxparts enclosure. This includes a set of the front as well as a template for the top jacks. This works with most pedalpcb.com drill templates (including 5, 4, and 3 knob).
Note: This is for 1590B size enclosures which are smaller than 125B size. See the photo for a comparison. I also sell 125B size jigs as well.
My method for using the templates:
- Use a center punch to mark the holes for your desired knob/hole layout.
- Remove the template and re-punch the holes.
- Use a fine drill bit to drill through the punches.
- Use the correct size bit for the knobs or a step drill bit to drill to the correct size.
The color of the templates is an example - they might be printed in a different colored plastic.
I also have templates for 125B and 1590BB size enclosures.
