Maker: Hofner
Model: 500/1 Violin Bass
Condition: excellent
Description:
As classic and recognizable as they come; the Hofner 500/1 Violin Bass as made famous by Paul McCartney and lovingly known as "the Beatle bass". This one is a vintage 1970 model in incredibly clean condition. 53 years old and seems to have gone mostly unplayed or very well cared for. Headstock is excellent with only the very lightest of marks, back of neck is excellent, frets show some light marks in the root position (very minor), body shows some light scuffing and light surface impressions but no major dings/dents/chips or deep scratches. Overall an extremely clean, beautiful looking and playing example of a legendary instrument. Pictured with replacement knobs (shinier) originals are included as well. Dated as the 24th week of 1970.
Includes original purple lined hard case. The tolex on the case is lifting but it is cosmetic only, case is solid.
Has been fully inspected and setup here by our team at Coast Sonic and is ready for a new home.
Weight: 5 lbs
