CP Thornton Hot Rod Classic II in Black with Pure White sides. As with all Thornton guitars, this instrument has been built from top to bottom by Chuck Thornton in Maine and plays / sounds like a dream. Chuck has 40 + years of building experience and his workmanship is always exceptional.
This build features Lollar Vintage T pickups for that classic 50's Tele tone. The bridge has the option of being a top-loader or through body and features compensated brass saddles. The Old-Growth Nootka Cedar body is highly resonant and has the presence and bite you typically get from Ash; while also supplying you with the mid-range that Alder is known for.
An all around exceptional build with the added fun of a kill-switch and great body to neck weight ratio. This Classic II weighs in at a light and very comfortable 6lbs 1.5oz. Some light finish scratches and swirling is present up close, but overall the guitar is in very clean condition. The frets have their full life ahead of them.
