2000 Limited edition Legends of the Fall only a handful of the dreadnought cutaways were made. My research shows only 92 made, signified by the mark on back just below where the heal plate. As you probably know, as of 1992 Brazilian Rosewood was put on the endangered list and not legal to make any more. Most are in the $8k+ range. I like to play my guitars and this one is nice as it's been played, not squirrel'd away. It has a one scratch on the horn, and 2-3 small, small marks on her as pictured. Other than those, the guitar is in super nice shape. The Brazilian Rosewood the builder selected for the back of this girl is a truly amazing piece of wood used.
As unnecessary as this is, I'm starting with the lowest price I've seen these selling for, in legitimate ads in the United States, and deducting what Taylor confirmed they would charge for a full factory top refinish. If you want her back to like-new condition, it's $600 to have Taylor do it themselves. But unnecessary IMHO.
Beautiful and punchy, this guitar will cut through the mix. It will only increase in value as a Brazilian Rosewood guitars can not be made any longer. Great investment piece.
