1968 Valco for Montgomery Ward model 62 9056. Earlier variant of the GIM 9111A. This model is another similar model to the famed Supro Thunderbolt using the same 8 ohm Valco output transformer! This simple yet very effective design has been a staple in Valcos production. Dual 6L6 and three 12AX7’s. All 12AX7 tubes in this amp are original RCA branded tubes. Amplifier has been fully serviced starting with a complete electrolytic recap, all out of spec resistors replaced, grounded power installed, new fuse and fuse holder, new indicator light, new set of coin base 5881 power tubes, lastly a deep internal cleaning of all inputs, pots and tube sockets. This amp is now operating at 110% and sounds absolutely amazing! Superb and pronounced cleans and instant tones reminiscent of zeppelin when cranked up!
