About This Listing

1967 Gretsch 6122 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Vintage Electric Guitar with natural Walnut finish. It is 100% original. It plays great and sounds fantastic. It weighs 8.13 pounds. The neck thickness measures 0.852" at the 1st fret and 0.938" at the 9th fret.

Overall in very good condition for its age. There are typical minor scuffs and scrapes throughout. All gold hardware is very clean with minimal tarnishing. As typical, the original foam string mutes have deteriorated and would need to be replaced if string muting is desired. These guitars are prone to binding rot, and this guitar survived quite well. There are two small spots around the back neck joint where there's binding missing. The pickguard has a tiny partial crack around one of the screws but it is not all the way through. The back of the neck is very clean and smooth. The neck is straight and the truss rod works. The ebony fretboard is in good overall condition with playwear showing. There's not much visible fretwear except for the zero-fret and the frets have been polished to a bright shine. The tuners were once replaced with new screw holes added but the originals are now back in. No issues with the original tuners. All electronics are original and work perfectly.

Includes an Alvarez hardshell case that fits the guitar perfectly. Does not include any other accessories.
