The name Selmer needs no introduction. Selmer USA saxophones have been the standard of band programs throughout the USA for decades. It's a very consistent and reputable brand.
Offered here is a "brand new old stock" Selmer alto saxophone Model SAS-201. It was purchased by a school 2 years ago but their band program was discontinued and we purchased their inventory. This instrument was never unpacked, taken out of the case and most definitely it was never played until we tested it. We just looked over this horn in our shop and did some minor adjustments. It plays beautifully with a vibrant responsive tone. Tuned to A=442 and can be adjusted anywhere from A=440 to A=444.
The Selmer SAS-201 is simply a great playing student saxophone.
