This is your chance to have a one-in-a-lifetime superb rock and roll machine (and it does everything else well too.) This gorgeous (the flame and color is absolutely stunning in person) Carvin Contour C66C is the finest instrument I've ever owned. As good as a Tom Anderson I had for a minute. My guitar collection has grown to out of control proportions so I'm selling off some of the ones I'm not playing regularly. I mainly play in a weekend warrior dad-rock band now and I would never expose this guitar to the bar/festival crowd. It has only ever been to 1 gig and that was an acoustic show about 10 years ago where I used this for some ambient stuff and put it right back in it's case. Other than that it has lived at my home studio and been played and loved for 13 years. I've barely played it in the last 5 years as my music style has changed so it's time for it to find it's next loving owner. Zero issues with this guitar. I had it custom built brand new by Carvin in 2011. I went over it pretty carefully and can't find any flaws. Maybe some light pick swirling on the finish but no major dings, knocks, scratches or any issues. It's been royally treated it's whole life.
Ash body with a maple neck and rosewood board (can't find the original paperwork but memory says this is correct as that's my go-to wood combo.) I switched the pickups to Seymour Duncans: Custom/Custom SH11 in the bridge and a 59 in the neck. They sound fantastic! In fact, for 3 or 4 years the Seymour Duncan company used the youtube video I've attached as their company video on their website to showcase the SH11 pickup. I'm still waiting on those free pickups I was promised in exchange Mr. Duncan :( If you search my videos on youtube you can see this guitar in action in a variety of applications. It does everything wonderfully. The switches can individually split each pickup to single coils and there is a switch to change the pickups to out of phase. The volume knob is push/pull for a boost function that gives a nice kick in the pants to the signal. The boost has it's own volume adjustment so you can dial in the perfect amount of gain from the boost. SUPER versatile guitar. Medium jumbo frets, medium wide, flat-ish fast neck. Plays insanely great and the Floyd is the only one of the screw cap types I've ever played where you can get the perfect amount of tightness or looseness to the bar and it won't unscrew or tighten when you move the bar into and out of position. Stays in tune so well. Gold colored Dunlop strap locks installed. I'm about to talk myself out of selling this thing so I better stop typing. Comes with original Carvin case that has a few knicks and scratches like cases will do from being moved around the garage and music room.
Please ask any questions you have and believe me when I say this guitar is spectacular in every way. I'm having a little angst seeing this one go. Someone is going to get an absolutely amazing guitar.
