1967 Vox Mark VI Teardrop Electric guitar Solidbody 1960s - Rare 60's guitar with Fender stratocaster pickup configuration and bigsby , as used by Brian Jones of Rolling stones , 6 string version
Very cool and rare Italian made guitar, all original except missing bridge cover and pickups and pots have been replaced(originals included, see pics). The current pickups are handwound custom made pickups by boutique pickup maker and sound much better than the originals. The case looks to be original. One of the original pickups has the soldering point broken off and needs repair if you want to put it back.
Overall condition is very good as pictured, besides some chrome damage on the vox-manufactured bigsby and some lacquer damage. Frets are still very well playing even if there is some pitting as pictured. Previous owner dated it to 1967 so I suppose that's the year it was made, these were made in very limited quantities and were listed at price equivalent to 2500usd calculating the inflation. The guitar build quality and sound even unplugged reflects the way Vox intended these guitars for Prosessional players.
