eBay Vintage Giovan Paolo Maggini Brescia 1630 full-size 4/4 violin with bow and case. Germany? It is marked as being year 1630, but it is probably made in 1900 or so. Very good condition for such an ancient instrument. Maybe one hairline crack on the top surface; otherwise it looks intact. I think it is all original, except I replaced one broken peg. The Bausch bow, 29-inch, is good condition, but the hair needs to be replaced. The case is in excellent condition, with three working latches. It came with several gut or silk strings, but I will let the buyer apply them. Free shipping to the continental U.S.  Giovanni Paolo Maggini (1580 - c. 1630), born at Botticino (near Brescia, Italy), apprenticed with the master violin maker Gasparo da Salo.
