The Kit:
interchangeable capsules with: 32mm, 34mm, 35mm gold plated capsule from the factory, the design offers a nice compliment of options for tracking, width and thickness.
The Modifications:
We start by pulling out a number of the capacitors in the microphone preamp and installing low noise, esr Panasonic capacitors, making value tweaks and then install a Genalex Gold Lion tube for the preamp for low distortion, excellent headroom and low noise.
The power supply is then dissembled and low noise Caps (some value adjustments) are installed for the heater rail and the B+ rail for longevity, ideal current delivery and finally bypassing is performed in key locations to reduce the amount of noise in the mic and DC rails.
The results are excellent where the mic sounds handily twice as expensive as the investment.
The Mic Kit comes complete with: Shockmount, Tube microphone, Carrying Case, Windscreen, Interconnect cable and power supply.
