Strat replacement tremolo bridge unit

This unit is made in Japan by Gotoh - one of the worlds leading manufacturers of high-quality replacement guitar parts. This is a spot-on replication of a vintage tremolo typically found on a 1950's and 1960's USA Fender Strat. The only thing missing on this Gotoh bridge is the 'F' on the saddles! U.S.A. threads for all of the screws and it comes complete with the tremolo arm, springs, spring claw with screws, saddle height allen key and bridge-to-body mounting screws. Milled steel sustain block and steel saddles just like the original units.

Important measurements -
Centre to centre of the two outer mounting holes - 56mm

String pitch - 11.3mm

Tremolo or vibrato?

The most common name for the bridge on a Fender Strat is a tremolo - a name chosen by Leo Fender himself and yet because he was not a musician himself, he was probably unaware that the term 'tremolo' actually describes the rapid and continual decreasing and increasing of volume to create a 'warbling' effect rather than what the bridge really does which is to change the pitch of a note. So, the correct name for the Strat bridge should really be a vibrato unit but the misnomer has remained to this day.
