Kids Dragon 1995 - Purple

Hiroshi Kido “Kids” Dragon 12 string. Handmade in Japan. This bass is the first of the 25 to be built. It was owned and signed by Tom Petersson. As there were never serial numbers sssigned, this bass is verifiable as the first built by a body route covered by a nameplate with Tom’s name misspelled “Tom Peterson“ at the base of the neck.
I met Tom after a show years after I bought it at the GC in Hollywood. I told him I was going to take the bass to my grave, so he signed it “R.I.P. Tom Petersson.
I played it for a few years in the 90’s,but it is time for someone else to own this piece of history. Plays and sounds incredible. Each pickup has its own output with an on/off and a volume knob. The middle pickup has a scratchy pot and switch probably from lack of use.

Ask questions, bring offers and start a good dialog. I will be as honest and respectful about the transaction as you would expect for an instrument like this.
I am using Tom’s signature Gretsch as a point of price, but I will definitely listen and discuss offers. 🙂
