The Jimmy Page Mark 2, Black Edition  introduces a number of features which have never been available up until now. This new Version builds on the legendary and well known Jimmy Page setup for Les Paul, converting your guitar to a serious powerhouse.
The Scrinia Engineering Jimmy Page Mark 2, Black Edition  Control PCB is Direct fit for both Epiphone and Gibson Les Paul guitars with 2 humbucker setup with coil split and has the Custom Pro option of Neck PU Phase shifting (Just as our Symphony Mark 5) - and adds the option of serial/parallel switching via the bridge Tone pot. Built around a proprietary low noise PCB with 4 top quality CTS push/pull potentiometers. This super versatile board accepts a wide variety of Epiphone and Gibson style connectors. Minimizes the need to modify your pickups (save you cost in the long run), and provides the option of being able to switch in and out pick-ups with Gibson and Epiphone connectors.
Also very importantly - this Control PCB will fit Epiphone and other Les Paul style guitars with the "clover-leaf" control cavity cut-out, with no (or VERY minimal) need for adjustments. If you are concerned about fit, contact me and I will send you a template to print out so you can check before ordering.

Compatibility:
If you are installing into a Gibson guitars which currently has a control board: 100% compatible and no need for additional hardware.
If you are installing into Epiphone or other brands, or older Gibsons without control board: you are gong to need the following, which we can help with:
- 3 way pickup cable with Gibson spec black 5 pin connector - re-use your own switch. - Output cable with Gibson spec black 2-pin connector - re-use your output jack - Pickups must have either Epiphone or Gibson spec quick connectors, if not you'll need adapter

Functions of the board:
Bridge Volume - puts Bridge and Neck pickups out of phase with each other Neck Volume - puts Bridge and Neck pickups in series together Bridge Tone -  splits the Bridge pickup coils Neck Tone - splits the Neck pickup coils
New features on JPM2 Black Edition - Dip switch tone selection: DIP Switch #1: Treble bleed ON/OFF for Bridge pickup DIP Switch #2: Treble bleed ON/OFF for Neck pickup DIP Switch #3: Tone TRUE bypass ON/OFF for Bridge pickup DIP Switch #4: Tone TRUE bypass ON/OFF for Neck pickup
Why is this important (we believe) - well:
While treble bleed circuit is a VERY useable feature - there are situations where you will want to experiment with running you setup without this feature on. This is typically when you choose new pickups and want to decide the best combination for your new sound. Another situation is that you actually want to make use of the traditional frequency roll-off for certain recordings - in that case you just switch to old school.
Now - the TRUE Tone Bypass, basically...well...bypasses either the Bridge, Neck or both Tone caps and potentiometers - while still maintaining the coil split feature. By doing this you completely remove the "tone load" on the selected pickup for the CLEAREST tone possible - straight pass-through from volume to output jack. This is a sted further than rolling you tone pot to "10"...let's just call it "11". It's basically because even though you roll the tone up to "10" you still have the 500kOhm resistor in series with the tone capacitor affecting (removing higher frequencies) the tone - slightly - but still there.
With these settings you have the tonal palette all the way from old school to ultra clean direct tone.

One of the biggest differences from the JPM1 board - which is that no matter which switch selection between the control board and the 3way pickup selector switch YOU WILL HAVE NO DEAD ZONES. On the historical correct Jimmy Page wiring there will be dead zones with no Audio output whatsoever - more specifically when in series mode and Bridge pickup selected only. This has been taken care of with the JPM2, Black Edition board - a significant improvement. Also the placement of the switches with the coil splitting on the tone pots and Phase and S/P switching on volume pots makes better sense to us and has resulted in better playability.
Too Many Sonic options and combinations to list - this is an audio options galore...and we just piled on the previous version of the board. It is completely new bottom up design, and a somewhat more complex board. It is ALL analog, made with one specific aim - to assure the tone of your guitar passes through it with the minimum loss of tonal frequency spectrum, We leave it up to each of you guys to decide where and when you want trade in or affect you tone.
Tone starts in your head, passes through to you fingers into the guitar. We want to be as invisible as possible and not get in the way of what came out of your finger tips. We know you know what we mean, we all chase that tone all the time - so let us help you get here.

Jimmy Page Mark2, Black Edition includes Treble Bleed circuits and True Tone Bypass.

When you turn down the volume control on a vintage guitar, the tone changes too. The treble frequencies are attenuated, and the tone becomes somewhat dull. This is addressed on the Mark 2. Black Edition by adding Treble Bleed circuit. It essentially compensates for the treble loss that occurs when you turn down the volume on the pickup by "bleeding" or allowing a portion of the higher frequencies to pass through. This way you can maintain a better tone (less high frequency loss) even when you play subtle parts. We have chosen to make it selectable - and individually - on Neck and Bridge in recognition that some artists want to keep it vintage on some artworks. This feature will allow you to hear the difference and make up your own mind with just the jumper setting to change. We will not decide for you what is best - it is artistic preference - but we can guarantee you that once you have heard the difference, it is impossible to un-hear it.

Small print - please read - it's really reasonable we think:

Note: Shipping to business addresses: Due to an abundance of lost packages - It will be the buyers responsibility to collect the item. Once USPS tracking shows picked up, it becomes the buyers responsibility no matter what happens after that point. I can not guarantee delivery to business addresses or mail/freight forwarders or PO Boxes - should you choose to have your item sent to one of these places it will be 100% at your own risk - as said - once picked up from me by USPS it is buyers responsibility. Please do not buy if you do not agree to this. I recommend providing a residential address, that way you are certain it will not get lost on the workplace :o)

Note: Damage to potentiometer shafts: The CTS push pull pots are the toughest in the industry. However if removal of speed knobs is done without holding the shaft (counter hold) any potentiometer can and will be damaged. We do not cover such damage. We ship each board with very detailed instructions on how to avoid this situation, so if normal precautions are taken and the instructions are followed, this will be no issue at all.
