About This Listing

Please check out my other listings for more Vai’s gears.

This is the Ibanez acoustic guitar named “Kenji” from Steve Vai’s collection (SV number 57). It is the ONLY Ibanez non-cutaway dreadnought acoustic guitar listed in his guitar gallery (please refer to the second and third pictures).

Vai had this guitar for more than two decades before auctioning it off at Julien's in 2022. According to Vai's tag on the case, the guitar was kept in Vai's Harmony Hunt studio where he spends most of his time these days.

Auction lot card, tag, and the catalog that features this guitar will be included as proof of authenticity.

Made in 2000, this guitar has a solid natural spruce top, mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The guitar is in great shape except for some light swirls, mainly on the pickguard. There are also a couple of light scuffs on the back. It was played by Vai, after all.

The guitar still has the strings that when Vai owned it. This is a great playing and sounding guitar in every way. Steve kept it for more than two decades says it all.

Comes with original hard shell case that still has Vai or his guitar tech's handwritten tapes on it.

The guitar will be packed professionally with extra care.

Don’t miss your chance to own a unique acoustic guitar that Vai kept and played for many years.
