Vintage 1963 Fender Showman Head & Cab w/ Original JBL D130F – Serviced – Local Pickup

Up for sale is an original 1963 Fender Showman head and matching cabinet in very good working condition — a true piece of classic Fender and surf music history.

This amp comes from a large vintage collection and was previously displayed at the Songbirds Guitar Museum. It has recently been professionally serviced by Nashville Amplifier Service, where it received maintenance including replacement capacitors, select resistors and tubes, a proper bias, and cleaned pots. The amp now sounds fantastic and is ready for stage, studio, or collection use.

The Fender Showman was famously developed by Leo Fender in collaboration with Dick Dale to withstand Dale’s incredibly aggressive playing style and high stage volumes. Dick was constantly blowing speakers and pushing amps beyond their limits, leading Leo Fender to work with JBL to develop a speaker robust enough to survive the punishment. This amp includes the legendary original JBL D130F speaker — one of the defining sounds of early surf music.

Tone-wise, this amp delivers everything you’d hope for from a vintage blackface-era Showman:
• Huge clean headroom
• Tight low end
• Sparkling highs
• Incredible platform for surf, country, blues, rock, and pedal-based rigs

Features:
• Original 1963 Fender Showman head & cabinet
• Original JBL D130F speaker
• Professionally serviced and ready to play
• Previously part of the Songbirds Guitar Museum collection
• Powerful vintage Fender clean tone

This is an outstanding opportunity to own a highly collectible vintage Fender amp tied directly to one of the most important chapters in electric guitar history.
