Sigma SG-9 Vintage Dreadnought for Martin&Co from 1970

Companys History:

The Sigma Sg-9 was manufactured in Japan by the renowned guitar company Sigma in 1970s. Sigma is known for its high-quality instruments and has a long tradition in guitar making.
The first Sigma’s were built under Martin USA Specs and license, had a strict quality control and are well known for their good building quality en wonderful sound. The first Sigma guitars employed economy-minded materials like laminated woods for their tops sides and back, but were generally well-constructed. in 1974 the introduced solid tops. During this and later periods Sigma made several types and models of acoustic guitars (like the SG-9), but they were mostly exported to Europe and distributed through Levin and Sons, a Martin owned company based in Sweden.

Sigma Guitars is a guitar manufacturing brand originally released by C.F.Martin as a line of guitars at affordable prices to compete with the increasing number of imported guitars from Japan and elsewhere. The Sigma line was discontinued by Martin in 2007.

Nowadays a German company named AMI Musical Instruments GmbH acquired the rights to the brand name Sigma, and relaunched the brand with guitars being produced in China
