For sale is a unique Yamaha conversion. The bell and tail (marked "Wurlitzer," who didn't make horns and must have imported it) were taken from a hand-hammered single F horn; possibly a C.F. Schmidt, but based on the wedge-shaped braze seam in the bell, more likely a Kruspe from the 30's. The leadpipe came from a Lukas, and plays very well on the horn. The rest (lacquered) comes from a Yamaha YHR-667D that I purchased new in late 2015.
This horn is a beast - classic Geyer/Schmidt-type medium bell sound, with huge color and easy projection. The upper register is beautiful and clear, and the lower register is especially easy to play and really "pops."
Included is a Marcus Bonna Mb-2 fixed bell case, which has a hole (last picture) caused by a New York subway train door, and another one on the inner padded side of one of the backpack straps.
