The Guyatone Ultrem Optical Tremolo pedal is a versatile and comprehensive tremolo unit that seamlessly blends vintage charm with modern technology to stretch the humble tremolo to its limits; from subtle valve amp wobbles to intense, choppy jet engine sounds.

Key features include a tap tempo function for on-the-fly speed adjustments, an auto function that activates tremolo with incoming signals, and compatibility with the optional expression pedal for even more control. The Ultrem has six effects modes, including a Pedal Speed/Touch mode and a Momentary Wave mode, which add to its versatility.

This pedal excels not only in creating retro guitar parts but also in adding unique flavours to bass lines, backing vocals, and even orchestral strings, offering nearly limitless creative possibilities. Despite its extensive features, the Ultrem maintains the warmth of traditional analogue technology, avoiding digital modelling to achieve its authentic sound. It's an ideal choice for those looking to explore new sonic landscapes while still cherishing the classic tremolo effect.
