Watch that boy, he's from Badwater...
Here for sale is a AXL Badwater Jacknife from the mid to late 2000s. I am dating myself, but these were HOT SH*T when I was in high school. Needless to say, this series holds a soft spot in my heart....and for good reason, honestly. They are really solidly made. The AXL Badwater Jacknife features a solid alder body like many other guitars in this price range. Alder is considered to provide a broad spectrum of tone, tight swirling grain, and in this case, there is no exception.
The Jacknife comes standard with two EMG-designed over wound P-90 pickups that provide maximum output and power that today’s rock and metal guitarists demand. Among the other features that make the Jacknife noteworthy is the Tune-O-Matic Bridge, which provides a nice comfortable worn-in feel. The guitar’s Tailpiece is a string-through body, for added sustain. In addition to the ultra thin maple neck designed for fast, comfortable playing the neck has a bubinga stripe, abalone dot inlays and an aged-look to the headstock.
As always, I replaced the strings, polished it up and set the action low and comfy. This guitar comes with the original hardshell case, which is HUGE, and I pack my guitars up tight and insure every package with full insurance.
