Rare Vintage 80s - Yamaha SB-100 Professional System Board Multi-effects

Here we have an amazing vintage multi-effector from the early 80s. As part of top-of-the-range products at the time, Yamaha perfectly designed these units aiming to satisfy professional musicians looking for a compact and versatile signal processing system.

This SB-100 is loaded with five great analog effects (Yamaha CO-01 Compressor, FL-01 Flanger, CH-03 FB Chorus, TB-01 Tone Booster and OC-01 Octaver), a 'mini-pedal' (Yamaha MP-01 volume/expression pedal) and a line selector, all housed in a robust flight case with integral power supplies and patching options.

Each of the effects can be detached from the pedalboard to be used separately with a 9V battery as a classic effect. Yamaha offered a bunch of other effects in this series which can be easily installed and perfectly used with the SB-100. As you can see there is a remaining slot to add another pedal.

All the effects are interchangeable thanks to the connection sockets. Son you can put the expression pedal and each effect wherever tou like (on tyhe left or right for the volume pedal for example).

The unit is in excellent cosmetic condition for the age (see photos) and in perfect working order. The unit is well built, inspiring confidence in operation. All effects pedals work as they should, with smooth controls without any scratchy pots. Designed like a tank, this pedalboard will stand the test of time.
