High quality 4/4 violin outfit created by prominent violin luthier, Fritz Arnold Brückner. Made in 1965 in Markneukirchen Germany and labeled for sale in the United States. The outfit includes a high quality violin bow from the prominent Knoll workshop marked "Germany". Also included are the original hardshell case bearing the name and address of the violin shop where it was originally sold, and the original chin rest.
The instrument has not been played in several years. It will benefit from a tune-up, including potentially adjusting the height of the finger board and having the bow restrung. The violin shows some wear on the back of the instrument from the chin rest (see photos).
Fritz Arnold Brückner came from a family of illustrious violin luthiers in Markneukirchen, Germany, and was one of the most prominent violin craftsmen from Germany in the mid 20th century. Similarly, the distinguished German-based Knoll family workshop is known for high-quality handmade violin bows.
Similar 1965 violins from Fritz Bruckner currently resell for $8,500.
