A majestic and very rare Jazz Bass from the ESP Custom Shop, Japan, 70's-80's.
This guitar is most probably a custom order, as we couldn't find the exact model in the catalogues.
The body looks to be made out of mahogany, the neck wood texture strongly resembles padauk wood (which it probably is), and the fretboard is ebony. The hardware is custom-made by ESP out of brass, and the pickups are also custom-wound.
The condition is very good - you get the charismatic visual indication of the guitar's age: worn-out lacquer under the favorite spots of the previous player, and some buckle rash (look how high this bass was strapped in!), along with dings, some scratches and light patina on the hardware. The technical condition is all good, with strings sitting fairly low and comfortable, and electronics working flawlessly, along with the hardware.
This Espionage sounds, feels and looks like the premium-sector vintage Jazz Bass, which it is :)
Video demo included.
