BEHOLD!!! For sale is a vintage, MIJ, Memphis, set neck, single cut (LP copy) guitar in cherry sunburst finish. The obvious, open book style headstock styling is indicative of the age and type of guitar this is. It contains Duncan Designed pickups and is set up in the likeness of a famous Frank Zappa photo. It comes with a hardshell case with groovy flame motif. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS!!!

The guitar features a plain maple top, rosewood fingerboard, original tuners, original black plastic electronics cover, original plastic pickup switch cover, original poker chip, and original tune-o-matic and tailpiece. The pickguard is aftermarket; the original was long gone when I got the guitar. Several of the pots have been changed, as have the pickups. The pickups switch and some of the other electronics are original. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS!!

The guitar has a large, set neck, baseball bat type neck done in the 1950's style. And a volute. Light fret wear. This fat neck does well with thicker strings. This is also a heavy sounding guitar in just regular drop-D tuning. Comes with the hardshell case shown. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS!!!

Despite some of the obvious finish flaws and some minor finish cracking around the neck, this is a stable, rocking, loud, HEAVY, fully functioning guitar. I believe a famous 1980's LA guitar hero of great reputation started on one of these. It's a great looker. And, from three rows back at your favorite local dive, no one would know that you weren't playing the real thing!!! PLEASE SEE PHOTOS!!!

Due to a recent flurry of unnecessary returns, I am now having to change the rules of the game again. Items sold in usable, operable, and/or playable condition will not have warped necks, loose parts, parts that are broken or missing, cracks, or other defects - unless specified in the ad. Any and all KNOWN flaws will be photographed and/or documented in the description of the item. Items listed and sold as a "PROJECT" may have warped necks, loose parts, parts that are broken or missing, cracks, do not power-up or work with a battery or power supply, or other problem that makes them unusable, inoperable and/or unplayable. "PROJECT" items may require extensive repair. I am selling items from my personal collection, not items I find in a pawn shop, at estate sales, or at garage sales, unlike some hucksters here. That means that I may have owned the item for 10, 20, 30 or 40 years. REMEMBER - If the item is unusable, inoperable or unplayable, it is listed and sold as a “PROJECT” for repair or parts. REMEMBER, items sold as a "PROJECT" may require extensive repair.
