The Blue Box Octave Fuzz pedal by MXR is a classic stompbox that combines an octave pedal and a fuzz pedal in one. It is known for producing synth-like bass lines and fuzz-heavy guitar sounds. The pedal has two knobs: the output knob, which sets the total output gain, and the blend knob, which adjusts the ratio of octave down with fuzz signal.
The song “Fool in the Rain” by Led Zeppelin features the Blue Box Octave Fuzz pedal, which adds a unique sound to the song. The pedal adds fuzz to the mix and duplicates it two octaves below, creating a chaotic personality that can make each session a totally unique experience.
The Blue Box Octave Fuzz drops your guitar signal two octaves down and combines it with gnarly fuzz for huge subterranean tones.
This pedal can be powered by a 9-volt battery, a Dunlop ECB003 9-volt adapter, or the DC Brick™, Iso-Brick™, and Mini Iso-Brick™ power supplies (not included).
