Mosrite Celebrity III 1965-1967 - Sunburst

Want a vintage American guitar that you won't be to afraid to gig with?

This Mosrite Celebrity has the serial number K33* so it falls somewhere in the 65-67 range. Has a really nice sunburst finish with some flame noticable on the front and very noticeable on the back. Appearance wise there are a few finish cracks near the neck heel and a few bumps and chips on the front, headstock and body edges.

When I got this guitar the electronics were not working. Seems like the original pickups were in bad shape and the internal ground wire that connects to either the bridge or tail piece was disconnected. I took out the pickups and swapped them with some hotter replicas but I could not find the internal ground wire. Not terribly proud of the solution but I brought up a ground through a screw hole and taped it to the tailpiece. It mostly works but you may want to work on a more permanent internal solution.

Comes with the original pickups (which test fine), a NOS pot and jack plate to replace the current cracked one, and an aftermarket hard case.

One thing to note is this guitar was allegedly autographed by Roy Clark. I have absolutely no documentation to back it up so I'm not factoring that into the price, but he was still alive when I purchased this guitar so make of that what you will.
