You won’t find a better quality vintage P-Bass for this price!

Originally bought online as a Schecter Precision in need of a little work. However, as soon as it arrived, it was obvious that it wasn’t a Schecter build or even a Schecter neck. It looked like the MIJ Fender Squier because of the highly figured Sen (Japanese Ash) body. Sure enough, that’s exactly what it turned out to be.

The bass has been completely dismantled, cleaned, and polished. The fretboard has been oiled, and the frets have been polished. The pickups were replaced with a set of gloss black DiMarzio DP296GB Billy Sheehan Signature Model Relentless Middle pickups. The installation was done properly with an EP1033 capacitor .033 microfarad, an EP1200 250 K pot, an EP1201 500 K pot, and an EP1301 Switchcraft output jack. Sounds AMAZING! The original bridge was rusted and replaced with a Fender Pure Vintage bridge. The black pickguard was upgraded to complement the finish. The volume and tone knobs were upgraded to a higher quality. The finish cleaned up very nicely, and shows off the almost holographic figuring of the Sen. There are various scratches and dings on the body, as one might expect from a more than 40-year-old instrument, but it adds to the authentic vibe. It was relic-ed naturally! The tuners are original and have been serviced and lubricated. The original neck plate was long gone—and the SQ serial number along with it—but a vintage Fender “F” is installed. The original was likely replaced when the faux “Schecter” logo was applied. I have no idea why the original owner did not leave the Squier headstock decal and neck plate. It’s strung with high-quality flats. It looks, plays, and sounds just like an old-school P-Bass should. It comes with a Fender pickup cover and a gig bag. It also comes with heavy-duty gold strap locks.
