Here we have an original 1955 Les Paul Junior. The wood, the wood is amazing. The neck is straight and true and plays like butter. The rosewood fretboard is chocolatey goodness. The pup, pots, wiring, pickguard, back plate are original. There are no neck breaks or wood defects. The tuners are non original Grovers. Now, there is a mystery as to the finish. This guitar appears to have "TV" finish. There is no evidence anywhere that this guitar was a sunburst finish. However the serial number is gone. So was it a refin? I have taken it around to various experts. They are stumped. Was this a rare one off from the factory? The headstock does not contain a "TV" designation meaning it shouldn't look this way. It should be a black and yellow sunburst right? but it isn't. I do know this, the guitar is superb.
