This Slingerland 5x14 8 Lug Chrome over Steel Snare drum is in very good shape. It sounds and plays great. It was produced in Niles Ill. Between 1970 to 1972. (Ser. No. 79098)
The chrome is showing its age but still looks good. All component parts are original to the drum and operate as they should. The Sticksaver hoops are "in Round" and the batter head fits well. The snare side head is a bit snug due to Slingerland's technique for "cutting" snare beds with a twenty ton press, but it tunes up right. The drum comes with a New Coated Ambassador batter and Ambassador snare side heads.
