The GB-7C was co-designed by Takamine and country legend Garth Brooks. It has a distinctive and powerful look, with its big dreadnought-shaped body and matching sound hole: the satin-finished solid cedar top, and solid rosewood back and sides. Not fancy, but a true working man’s guitar.
The GB-7C doesn’t bark like some comparably-sized guitars, but there’s a reason—this guy is built to be played live. The bracing and structure serve a purpose, as they complement Takamine’s CT4B II preamp system and Palathetic™ under-saddle pickup for great amplified response with a minimum of feedback. The preamp includes three-band EQ, volume control and a built-in tuner.
