Exclusive GERMANIUM Horrothia Effects Triage in hammertone green. Serial number #072. NOS 1N3470 germanium diodes.

The Germanium Triage is a slightly re-voiced standard Triage, but with a sweepable filter on the output. The filter sends the high frequency content (swept range = 50Hz > 15kHz) to a pair of germanium diodes which act as a high frequency compression control. This adds some sizzle to the pedal but without taking away the volume which is often the case with germanium fuzz or overdrive pedals. With the control all the way one way, all frequencies above 50Hz (the whole guitar) is sent through the diodes (imagine fuzzzzzz) and the other way, the diodes are sent only the very highest harmonics - essentially it behaves as a standard Triage. Every Germanium Triage is different - every one uses hand selected diodes and is in a hammertone finish, but there is no correlation between the diode spec and the colour.

As with all Horrothia Triages', the pedal includes a high impedance JFET front end (with output control trimmer), a completely discrete transistor opamp secondary gain stage, a HF balance control, a mid hump / peak switch, and relay bypass. A super high quality zinc milspec footswitch ensures that many years of overdrive are ahead of you.
