Only 125 in existence. Hand-made in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Gibson Custom Shop, this right-handed recreation of Jimi’s left-handed Flying V features an ebony neck and body with a Murphy Lab Aged finish. The neck features an authentic ’67 Flying V-shape profile, while white ply binding outlines the ebony fretboard, which is inlaid with mother-of-pearl split diamonds. All of the hardware is plated in aged gold, including the Kluson single line, single ring Tulip tuners, ABR-1 bridge, and Maestro Short Vibrola. Driven by two Custombuckers that uses 42 AWG wire and unbalanced coils that are left unpotted for a historically accurate pickup, you will discover a warm, sweet tone that accurately delivers the sonic characteristics of those highly cherished early humbuckers.
