Near mint closet classic: Fender 1957 Vintage Reissue (American Made). Superb condition -- hardly played for 30 years. Combination 1984/87 parts. Neck was pulled by local guitar tech and shown in photo -- a 1984 Fullerton model neck. Pot codes show 1987. Not easy to find these guitars in this kind of shape. Guitar was just setup by local tech: action, truss rod, intonation, and cleaning.
Alder body, maple neck, all '57 vintage specs. Great neck, frets in excellent shape -- all original, black finish. One very small chip by strap button and a couple of scratches on back -- otheerwise would be 100% mint. Sounds like a true '57 -- if you wanted the original but don't hvae $150,000 to drop this is about as close as you can get with a premium, American made reissue. This guitar can do it all -- from Clapton to Dire Straits to Hendrix to SRV. A great deal -- hard to find an American Made Vintage Reissue from the 80s of this quality. Includes original tweed coffin case.
