Very Nice Herrnsdorf Electro Artist 8 string Lap Steel. This guitar was made in Markneukirchen Germany in the 1960s.

The 40s, 50s and 60s was the golden era for German guitar builders and this guitar was a good example of this work. Simple design made for musicians adding just the right visual flourish to show the craftmanship and care in the making of this instrument. The guitar was fitted with an output jack that was a standard 'banana" 2 prong jack from the period but was modded to be a RCA type that will need an adapter. ( You can see it in use in the video. )

A great lap steel and lightweight too. Practical design with good tone - What else do you need!

This guitar comes with a German made Single coil Rellog PU hidden under the plastic cover .

Also included is the original case with a chamois pad for the inside to keep the strings covered while in the case.

Beautiful instrument made to be played!
