Very Nice Hopf Galaxie Semi Hollow body Guitar.
A super mojo 1960s 335 style guitar from Hopf. This guitar has the look , sound and playability of some of the best guitars of the 60s. What a nice rare gem!
All original electronics are working great and the sound is superb. The PUs are single coil with tone and volume for each. The only issue this guitar has is the prior owner drilled some holes in the guitar heel to attempt to secure the neck. He then tried to secure it with wood screws. The original neck mount is 3 bolts. 3 New anchors were installed on the neck , bolts added and a plate/cover was made for the heel. Solid and super good.
The guitar plays great and the neck is a dream. Hopf used a multi lamination for strength , rigidity and sustain. The fretboard is rosewood. The body is a lamination with maple sides and back and spruce top.
The guitar is sold with a very nice padded Road Runner Soft Case.
