It's a lesser known fact that PRS creates some remarkable acoustic guitars too. They're on par with all the other acoustic brands on the market – and here's the proof. Featuring noteworthy construction, leading PRS appointments, and the upscale Fishman electronics, the SE T40E has marvelous acoustic sound and is designed to be great for gigging or recording.

Noteworthy Construction
The Tonare Grand body of the SE T40E is topped with solid Sitka spruce and has ovangkol back and sides. The bracing is PRS Hybrid "X"/Classic, which allows vibration through the spruce top awhile still providing appropriate support. The neck is crafted from mahogany and covered with an ebony fretboard holding 20-frets. It’s an elegant design from PRS.

Leading PRS Appointments
Finished with some great appointments, the SE T40E is crafted to play great and look great. The body is lined with white/black binding as well as abalone purfling, while the soundhole is encircled with abalone and white/black rosette. Artistic bird inlays soar up the neck, which is crowned with a bone nut. The ebony bridge moves all the string vibrations down through the Sitka spruce top, while the PRS-designed tuners look good and hold the strings securely in place, assuring easy tuning when necessary.

Upscale Fishman Electronics
Fishman electronics outfit many acoustic-electric guitars. PRS put a Fishman GT1 system into the SE T40E. Featuring an under-saddle pickup, the SE T40E captures all the natural acoustic tone. The mounted preamp within the soundhole gives easy access to the volume and tone controls.
