Up for sale is a Marxophone, a wonderful and unique dulcimer-style instrument. if you’ve heard Jon Brion’s work and Hans Zimmer’s Sherlock Holmes soundtrack, you’ve heard this instrument. You press down on a lever and it hammers the pair of strings and produces a percussive but also guitar/harp like sound. This one works well, comes with the tuning key and is ready to be used. It is missing one string on the lowest hammerable C as pictured.
These don’t pop up often so grab it while you can. Because of its age, it is sold as-is.
