MARTIN D28SW 1964 All Original Excellent Condition OHSC SERIAL # 196049
This guitar is a must-have for any serious martin collector and player. This extremely rare 1964 example is in spectacular shape and sounds better than any other post war martin dreadnought model ever produced. These guitars were produced between 1962 and 1968 for the Wurlitzer company in New York City. A total of 30 were made. This incredible example has no major cracks, just a hairline crack below pick guard as shown, never had a neck reset, he has a perfect neck angle, low action with plenty of Saddle left, and spectacular quarter sawn, straight grain Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. It’s sports a hefty modified V neck profile with a nut width of 1.875 inches. It is simply put the perfect guitar for a classical player who wants an iconic steel string guitar. The tone is simply stunning. Of all of the slot head 12 fret Dreadnaughts that Martin has ever made, this stands out is the greatest. Bridge plate is original, bridge is replacement
