Introducing the Heiserman H251: A Masterpiece of Engineering
The Heiserman H251, is the latest addition to the Heiserman lineup and is a result of meticulous craftsmanship and engineering excellence. Every aspect of this historical recreation has been carefully considered and perfected to ensure exceptional performance.
At its core, the H251 boasts the remarkable Generation-4 Heiserman Hk12 capsule, meticulously crafted with precision using brass and acrylic chambered backplates and featuring a lustrous 6µm gold sputtered DuPont Mylar® diaphragm. Hand-machined in North Carolina by two master machinists, the Hk12 capsule and all associated hardware exemplify precision and quality.
Inside the microphone unit, you'll find an accurate recreation of the original 251, including the outstanding new production T14/1 transformer (engineered based on a pristine vintage unit from 1961). The unit features an acrylic circuit board, a full acrylic head assembly with the original rotational pattern switch, and a complete Ck12 saddle with felts and foam cushioning. Circuit components include top-grade Vishay and Takman Rex resistors, vintage NOS polystyrene and PIO capacitors, and a faithful recreation of the original wet Tantalum output capacitor.
The Heiserman H251 microphone is finished with an automotive-grade paint, matching the original Siemens color. Each H251 microphone system includes a custom bulletproof power supply with worldwide compatibility, a 7.5-meter Sommer tube microphone cable with a custom 251-style connector, and a rugged flight case for safe transportation.
This "E" version of the microphone incorporates a 6072 vacuum tube, and the H251 comes equipped with a TAD Premium Highgrade unit for optimal performance.
