1969 GUILD BLUESBIRD M-75  Cherry finish over an all mahogany body, Gold Parts, 22 fret OHC code VA02

1969 Guild M-75 Bluesbird in its original CherrySunburst finish with Gold hardware. This guitar is in very good condition for its age and features the kind of minor cosmetic wear you would expect from a vintage instrument. It has a great playing neck with great frets. It's all originalthis vintage Bluesbird looks great with nicks + dings, finish checking, and other cosmetic wear. The guitar itself remains structurally sound with no structural cracks, breaks, or repairs. All electronics work and sound. The Guild Bluesbird has long been well known as a strong alternative to the Les Paul and other similar guitars. But the guitar evolved over decades, from the M-75 Aristocrat in the 50s, through several iterations to the current Bluesbirds in Guild’s Newark Street lineup. In 1967, Guild replaced the Aristocrat’s Franz P-90 style pickups with mini-humbuckers and named the guitar M-75 Bluesbird. The guitar retained the hollow body (and light weight) of the Aristocrat. This continued for about 3 years, until a solid-body (and heavy!) version was introduced, along with the then-new HB-1 pickups. So, this is a rare, fine example of a first-generation Bluesbird. It weighs in under 6 lbs and has a beautiful sound.

Compact semi-solid models without f-holes. Body 2 7/8" deep, only 13 1/2" wide, 17 1/4" long. Mahogany sides and back, spruce top, white ivoroid binding. Fine sound. From headpiece to tailpiece, a most unusual instrument to own and to play.
