This apater could nearly pass as new but someone engraved a serial # on it (see pictures)

If a blemish on the adapter will be a problem for you please do not order the adapter.

This listing is for 1 (one) original PS0913B-120 adapter that was issued with some of the Digitech pedals from the early 2000’s.

AddictedToToneInc was previously an authorized Digitech dealer.

The adapter will be sent well packaged and 100% tested.

Notice the RED tip of the adapters plug and the curious Auxiliary Power Output, (the original PS0913B had 2 output sections Output 1 9v and Output 2 3v) these attributes are exclusive to the original and hard to find original PS0913B-120 adapter.

The original PS0913B-120 adapter outputs close to 11 volts (+/-.5) generic aftermarket 9v adapters do not.

The use of a generic aftermarket 9v adapter will leave your Digitech pedal starved for voltage which can make it noisy and less toneful.

Here is a list of Digitech pedals from 2004 that used the USA version of the PS0913B-120 Adapter:

BP355, RP1000, RP150, RP155, RP250, RP255, RP350, RP355, RP500, RPx400, VX400, WHAMMY RICOCHET, DROP, BASS WHAMMY, WHAMMY DT, WHAMMY.

Newer versions of some of these pedals may use a different adapter.

Digitech designed lots of different pedals which required lots of different adapters to go with them; before purchasing ANY adapter I would encourage you to consult your Digitech pedal’s manual.

ATTENTION: Newer versions of DIGITECH pedals may use a different adapter.

Check the manual to verify the power requirements of the pedal!

Power Supply: Important Note: There are two different models of this product. If purchasing a replacement power supply, ensure that you properly match the power requirements screening on the back panel of the product with the corresponding adapter model listed below.

PS0913B-120

US, Canada, Europe, Japan: 100-240 VDC, 50/60 Hz PS0913DC-01

Australia & UK: 100-240 VDC, 50/60 Hz PS0913DC-02

Do not accidentally damage your Digitech Pedal!

Never connect an AC adapter to a DC pedal or vice versa to prevent damaging your pedal.

If you need a backup power supply (which is a very good thing to have) order one designed for the Digitech Pedal you’re using.

DO NOT attempt to use a power supply designed for any other device.

If you live in an area that uses 220V wall power DO NOT use a power supply designed for use in the USA without a voltage converter (not just an outlet adapter, a CONVERTER) between the wall outlet and the power supply; otherwise you will burn out the power supply and the Digitech Pedal the first time you plug it in.

When you get your Digitech Adapter label it so you know that it is the correct one that goes with your Digitech Pedal.

Is it bad to keep effects pedals on when not in use?

Keeping an effects pedal on and powered when it's not in use is typically safe though it may decrease its overall longevity; if batteries are installed they may become drained.

Leaving pedals on when not in use isn't ideal but it is not the end of the world if you forget to turn them off now and again.

Turning pedals off (unplugging them) is generally a good habit to develop.

There are three primary reasons why leaving effects pedals on isn't ideal:

  1. Battery drain
  2. Heat
  3. Potential power surges

Battery drain

Batteries are not exactly cheap anymore so using their energy needlessly is wasteful; there are better uses for your music gear budget.

Heat

Digital pedals consume a lot of current, that means that the electronics will generate some heat.

Heat is a concern when powering effects pedals, leaving pedals on while not in use keeps them heated and prevents them from cooling after each use which can help preserve their circuits.

Most pedals are built tough there is a reason they are sometimes referred to as a “stomp box” and they are usually resistant to physical abuse, humidity and heat but maintaining a temperature that is above normal operating specifications for the electronics can potentially reduce their lifespan.

As long as the adapter warm and not HOT your power supply will be fine; the pedal will only 'pull' as much current as it needs.

Power Surges

Electrical surges, outages, and brown-outs will cause abrupt disengagement of power and large transient spikes as the power is restored.

These occurrences can cause significant damage to the circuitry of the Digitech pedal if their power adapter is connected to the power mains during power restoration.

If the pedals are disconnected from the electrical service power surges will not have this damaging effect. Avoid this potential issue by disconnecting pedals when they're not in use.

Alternating Current (AC) is a type of electrical current, in which the direction of the flow of electrons switches back and forth at regular intervals or cycles. Current flowing in power lines and normal household electricity that comes from a wall outlet is alternating current. The standard current used in the U.S. is 60 cycles per second (i.e. a frequency of 60 Hz); in Europe and most other parts of the world it is 50 cycles per second (i.e. a frequency of 50 Hz.).

Direct current (DC) is electrical current which flows consistently in one direction. The current that flows in a flashlight or another appliance running on batteries is direct current.

TESTED 100%

The item you are purchasing is inspected and tested before being shipped to make absolutely sure everything is working100%

Many sellers do not possess a working knowledge of the equipment they are selling and simply send merchandise without examining the item being sold.

As a guitarist, artist and former touring musician I understand how important this equipment is to the individual purchasing it; most of my customers are casual players but for some of my clients the part being purchased is needed for work and making a  livelihood - an extended downtime can make for some potentially hungry days!

My endeavors are not approached as a mere "numbers game" or how many boxes of product I can move, for me it is much  more personal, most of my clients work very hard for their money; I appreciate and respect the fact they have chosen me to do business with.

It is much easier for me to check the product for the customer before it is sent rather than wasting time discovering a defective  part after it has shipped; this is how I have always operated; it takes more of a commitment but my clients appreciate it – they  know they can trust me to do the job right!

The testing process was originally started for the sake of my over-seas patrons but I quickly realized the value of it for all my  clients!

Maybe I am just "old school" but this is the way I feel it should be done.

Thank you,
