Rare 1991 Gibson Pre-Historic Les Paul Black Beauty. Only made between 1991-92, these were effectively the blueprint for later historic collections when the Custom Shop was introduced in 1993.

It's in fantastic condition for its vintage, with only minor blemishes as per the pics, and the very feint surface marks that you'd find on any used black Les Paul but won't be visible on camera. Some tarnishing to the gold hardware, beautiful very minor lacquer checking, ageing to the binding, and the frets have some wear as you'd expect but everything plays beautifully without issue - it's a wonderful example of this highly collectible guitar that is ageing exactly as you'd want it to be.

The traditional spec includes the Mahogany body and neck (moderately chunky, 50's style profile), premium Ebony fingerboard and Grover tuners. These Pre-Historics were the first to use 57 classic pickups (of which the early ones are regarded very highly regarded) and this guitar sounds absolutely sensational, with classic Les Paul PAF tone. It even still has it's original 'Denmark Street' retailer label on the rear of the headstock - which can be removed if preferred.

Finally it comes with its original tan brown case with furry pink interior cover to protect this superb guitar and future investment.
