A sweet one here price to move, move move.

If you were ever interested in what owning a great old Conn would be like, this puppy is your ticket. A NW-I, serial 123,XXX. Original gold plate.

Plating is around 75%+, call it....it's matte on the body and shiny on keys and bell, the body appears to be showing a silverish hue to it which probably means the gold plate has worn off some....it's still gold-looking, but just with a silverish undertone. Just a couple of very, very small patches on body where plating has worn thru to brass.

Currently it is unpolished and slightly patina'd...which looks pretty darn sweet; sort of a rich, smoky gold with some darker hues here and there. If you like, we'd be happy to hand-polish her up to more of a lustre.

This horn belonged to a pro here in PDX, who kept it in great shape. It has been regularly serviced over the past 5 years by us here at 2ndEnding, as well as Miguel Maldonado, a very respected go-to tech in the area.

Really, NO issues to speak of.

Pads in good shape, not new but on the good side of halflife for sure and no padwork will be needed on her for several years. The body is in amazing condition, just a few insignificant dings and she appears to have never had any significant dents in her time...very smooth geometry to body and neck. Microtuner in good shape, rolled toneholes in great shape.

We did a mod on her a few years ago, extending the G# pinky touch so it sits over the Bb touch (original conn design ended the G# over the B touch). Also, we added a tab to the G#, behind the C#, so the C# will now engage the G#.
Two rollers are black replacements...one on Pinky table, one on Spats. Upon request, we can actually replace one of 'em with an original Conn pearl roller of similar color.

Comes with original case which, honestly, isn't in great shape but we've repaired it somewhat and it's usable and safe for everyday. In this instance we think it's important to keep original case with the horn.

Plays up and down very nicely.

No, actually....this horn just KICKS, let's just say it.

Everything about a classic ol' Conn is right HERE.
