Fromel Supreme Mod Kit for Ibanez CS-9 Stereo Chorus Pedal

A chorus with a singing, vocal quality all its own. The vintage Maxon-made Ibanez CS-9 Stereo Chorus (and the reissue) are fantastic straight out of the box — the Fromel Supreme kit expands and refines their range with top-notch components. From subtle tone color to pulsating shimmer, it carves out its own niche: the speed control pushes into Leslie/vibe territory when dimed, and at lower Width settings the bass strings stay virtually unaffected while the treble strings swirl and sparkle.

What the kit does (full breakdown)

Signal Path — Replaces the cheap op-amps with high-quality audio-grade op-amps for less noise and distortion and better frequency response, and swaps the 20%-tolerance electrolytic input cap for an audio-grade part. Upgraded power-supply caps let you run at up to 18V.

Leslie Swirl — The stock CS-9 never gets very fast (typical of '80s chorus). This speeds it up for a realistic high-speed Leslie effect you can't get on other chorus pedals — impeccable in stereo using the INV output.

New LED — A violet super-bright LED to replace the odd red one Ibanez put in a purple pedal. It won't change the tone, but it looks great.
