1960's Airline Parlor Acoustic Guitar Red Burst Made in USA. Amazing condition considering it's about 60 years old! Great tones! A classic parlor acoustic branded “Airline” made by Harmony in the USA, similar to “Stella”. Airline® Guitars were made in Chicago, Illinois from 1958-68 by the VALCO company, and distributed by Montgomery Ward. A parlor sized body, a totally flat (no radius) neck, a little taller action, and a wood saddle all add up to make this a great little player. The guitar is crack free with a solid wood top. Neck is beefy but playable and buzz-free. Original painted on pickguard is a nice touch. Original tuners all work as intended. There are some scratches and the finish is wore off the back of the neck. Not very special but functional hard case is included. I always perform a full setup on my guitars ... Full inspection and cleaning of the guitar to give the player the best possible feel and performance. Fret end filing complete to eliminate any fret sprout Oiled the fret board Tightened and lubricated all hardware Electronics tested and working properly Proper neck relief set Nut slots checked and filed as needed Bridge and saddles adjusted as needed to achieve the best proper action within the limits of each instrument Saddles adjusted for proper intonation Tuned to E standard unless you request otherwise Adjust the pickup height for balanced tone and volume Any high and buzzing or rattling frets were filed, crowned and then polished
