Vintage Martin Style 1K Koa Soprano Ukulele with Vintage Hard Case
This rare solid koa Martin 1K is in good, stable condition, but as can be seen in the photos, it has a few minor cracks on the back and one on the top that were professionally repaired and cleated as well as the expected scuffs and dings one would expect to find on an instrument this old..
I don’t know the year this instrument was built, but according to my research, the original Martin Style 1K koa soprano ukulele was first offered by martin in 1920 and discontinued in 1942. This particular ukulele has the Martin logo as a decal on the front of the headstock rather than imprinted on the back of it, and this was begun in 1932. So this Martin Style 1K koa soprano ukulele is anywhere from 81 to 91 years old.
This beautiful Martin Style 1K koa soprano really does sound great and has a very comfortable action. It’s truly a wonderful instrument.
I’ll let the photos do the talking, but please thoroughly research this ukulele before purchasing it.
Note: We only ship to the contiguous 48 states and Japan.
